At some moment, I need help. My computer got very laggy, and sometimes, they temporarily shut down. I've got a very buggy screen. How do I get rid of the Computer Lag?
NOTE - I also discussed this at the NG BBS earlier (about 2 days ago). ANOTHER NOTE - The bug was caused by some parts of my computer to duplicate and move to another part. I guess this is a problem to NVIDIA. -------------------- "Microwaving Food is For Morons" -dOvetastic

Maybe its cause other people are usin ur internet. Like if you have wireless internet, the u can get ds's, wii's, xbox360's, labtops ect. that use the wireless internet. thats the problem with my intnert and why its so slow

does it shutdown without warning or one or does it tell you it will and give you 30 seconds.
Could be hardware related; windows update. Also, scan computer for virus', unplug from internet while doing so. -------------------- |

If you ever want to know what's going on, Filemon, Netmon, and Process Explorer are your best friends.
If you can't get enough information from those, your system has probably been too compromised to help anyways (well, too compromised for me to help). -------------------- |

yesyesyesyes, scan whilst unlpugged, in case its a keylogger or trojan. i got a keylogger once, and i tried scanning while online, and i got screwed up even worse:P

Dude, if you expect people to try and solve your problems, you gotta provide info. For starters, name some PC specs. Your OS. What were you doing when that happened?
But yeah, first do a virus scan while your unplugged. Keep cmd open. If while scanning, it pops up the shutdown prompt, type shutdown -a in cmd. No viruses? Update graphics driver. Perhaps, clean your PC of dust. Run ad-aware or spybot aswell. Nothing? Reinstall. -------------------- catfood |
